Emphasis will be on higher education and alternative post-secondary paths, but we’re interested in anything learning and teaching related. One of our biggest goals is to get students and recent-grads involved in the discussion, so if you fall into that category comment away!
Not convinced that formal education needs to be revamped? Before navigating away to another site try performing the following test:
Step 1. Go find a high school or college student and ask them, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ Take note of the manner in which they answer and the answer itself.
Step 2. Go find a five year old, better yet a classroom full of kindergartners, and ask the same question.
Step 3. Observe the difference.
*If you still feel nothing, increase your sample size. If you still feel nothing, perhaps this blog is not for you.
